The fiddle is an instrument of community, passed down through generations of players that have brought such variety and individuality to the genre. Learning the notes is only the beginning, the true magic of Celtic fiddle is the unique flair you get to add through bowing and ornamentation to make it your own. But don't let that scare you, the fiddle is an incredibly fun instrument to learn and you will learn traditional songs and techniques from day one.

What is Celtic Music?
Everywhere you go, fiddle music is likely to sound different. Because it is so varied, there are many different playing styles, ornamentals, and bowing patterns in each region. Since fiddle music was commonly shared aurally instead of being written down, it is also very common for the same piece of music to be played very differently depending where you are
I specialise in Celtic fiddle which focuses on Irish tunes and techniques but I also play a good amount of Canadian Old-Time which is vastly inspired by its Celtic origins with some local Canadian flair. Click the button below to explore what kind of tunes you might learn in this genre.
About Me
I have been a musician since I was 5 years old, begging my parents for my first guitar. I explored various instruments and
playing styles before discovering the fiddle in 2009, and I was hooked. Passionate about building a community through the love of music, and
wanting to share the
instrument with
others, I began teaching
fiddle in 2016, tailoring lessons
to each student, their learning
styles, and their own musical goals.
